Long GPS lock may be caused by bad GPS configuration. It may take up to 20 minutes before it finds your position! Try this little hack to speed up things a bit.
You need:
- A rooted device
- Root browser (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree)
- A GPS config file for your country - download here
Firstly, download your gps.conf file (for your country, obviously). Open the Root Browser and move your file from the download storage to /system/etc
Next, change the permissions to rw-r--r--. Reboot your device. That should do the job.
